Now pull tight so that this creates an opening or hole in your fabric (see photo). Continue making these holes every 2 stitches until you reach the end of this row then move down two rows and repeat making these holes every 2 stitches across until you reach the other side seam (see photo).
You should now have a nice fishnet pattern!
To finish off, cut your yarn leaving an 8-inch tail and weave in all loose ends except for that one last tail. Turn your rectangular piece inside out so that all of those little loops are now on the inside then use that final tail to sew up any remaining openings along either side seam using a whipstitch (see photo).
